Pahina Uno First EP Launch

People were welcomed with warm hugs and lots of love from the one and only Rice Lucido, as she celebrates the debut of her very first EP, “Pahina Uno” consisting of 4 tracks. Ulan, Dalawang Tao, Seventy-Seven, and Pebrero. It was held last Thursday, July 27, 2017, at Mow’s Bar Located in Matalino Street, Quezon City.

As we settled down, we were greeted by rhythmic beats of Adinkra Lumads Djembe Community. They are known for their soulful and interactive performance that will lighten up the mood which was perfect to jumpstart the event.

The next performance turned the beats into a calming mellow vibe with their love/hate kind of music. Hannah + Gabi’s songs were used in the animated movie, Saving Sally, the film, Ang Nawawala and was even featured in the web series, Tales From the Friend Zone.

As the next band were setting up, more and more people were coming and was ready for the grungy performance that was given by the local alternative rock band, Pastilan Dongi!.

We were all excited when we saw Rice Lucido fixing her things in the front which prompted all of the people to come inside. The room was jam-packed which filled the air with positive and excitement. Rice sang a total of seven songs. Pebrero, Ulan, Seventy-Seven, Ulan, Dalawang Tao, Hele ng Maharlika, Heto Nanaman and a cover of Senti. Rice has a way of connecting to people, with her mellow voice matched with strong and yet sincere meaning of her songs will surely make you fall in love with her music.

The last performers were cooking up something special, with a fusion of rock, funk, jazz, folk and blues in their arsenal you’ll know that their up something good, and it is no other than And Bagong Luto ni Enriquez which is led Mark Enriquez.
